Senior Data Platform Engineer — Infomotion GmbH (Berlin)
- Built a multi-tenant BigQuery DWH (Dagster ingestion + dbt transformations) across 4–7 tenants and ~5–10 providers; daily freshness at ~5–10 TB/day.
- Delivered layered architecture (raw → marts), custom data catalog, and a unified cross-provider layer (ID mapping + fuzzy matching in Python).
- Implemented and operated self-hosted Dagster on GKE (Helm, Workload Identity), supporting 100–500 jobs/day and TB/day per tenant.
- Designed and operated hybrid connectivity: GCP HA VPN to AWS site-to-site with BGP routing and CIDR range planning.
- Shipped a secure, versioned partner API using FastAPI on Cloud Run with OAuth authentication.
- Standardized infrastructure and delivery with Terraform and GitHub Actions, automated rollouts across two environments aligned with Google Cloud Foundation Toolkit best practices.
- Prototyped a GDPR-aligned RPO role–profile matching engine on Cloud Run with Streamlit and LLM-based semantic matching; authored security and data protection concept with the CISO.
- Established engineering practices and mentored teammates in a 5–7 person team.
Data Platform Engineer — 9 Friendly White Rabbits (Berlin)
- Built and ran a BigQuery-based data warehouse for 5–10 teams, operating ~100 pipelines at TB/day scale.
- Developed the modeling layer in Dataform (SQL + Node.js) with reusable patterns for staging/marts and controlled release workflows.
- Introduced data contracts aligned with Data Mesh principles (domain ownership, schemas, compatibility expectations).
- Operated Airflow on GKE (Helm, multi-env) and led the migration to Cloud Composer.
- Re-architected pipeline automation to pure Airflow orchestration, improving reliability and reducing operational hiccups.
- Implemented CI/CD for data + infra using GitHub Actions / Cloud Build / Terraform, managing IAM and governance as code.
- Built server-side attribution (AWS Lambda + Redshift) to enable attribution without Google Ads or client-side tracking.
